ジョニー
ロッテの「ジョニー」こと黒木が引退しました。
まだまだやれる３３歳。
そしてこれからが投球の幅も広がる円熟期を迎えようとしていた。
私がロッテを気にかけるようなって、ファンになったのは
ひとえに彼の存在があるから・・・
一時期、復活してから、またしばらく活躍を耳にすることが
なかったので心配はしていたが・・・
「魂で投げる男」、黒木。
ロッテが当時、球界のお荷物球団であった当時
１９９８年７月７日１６連敗ストップをかけたオリックッス戦。
９回２アウトまで取るも、ハービー・プリアムに同点２ランホームランを浴びて号泣。
そして、延長にて救援投手が満塁本塁打を浴び、チームは日本球界史上初の１７連敗を喫す。
という話はあまりにも有名。
彼の気迫あふれる投球が見れなくなるのは、あまりにも淋しすぎる。

大々的に引退セレモニーを行う選手もいれば
入団して芽がでずに引退する選手や
活躍して、不遇の時代が続いて引退という選手・・
ヤマダ的には晩年スーパーサブのまま終わってしまった
